Wedge-tailed Shearwaters and Black Noddies

Artist:
North West Island, Australia
Notes:

Each night, during the breeding season, large numbers of Wedge-tailed Shearwaters come to North West Island where they burrow and lay a single egg underground then raise a chick. They vocalise as they court and mate and sort out their nesting territories. Overhead nesting Black Noddies croon and the tree canopy sways in the wind.
