Waves of Wind

Artist:
Arizona, USA
Notes:

This was my very first recording expedition. There were several places I wanted to check out over two days and this was the first stop. It was springtime, and I wanted to record birdsong with water in the background. I thought this place would be a good candidate.

I got there in the midst of an intense windstorm. At first I was disappointed at the lack of birdsong, but then I noticed how the wind sounded blowing through the tall cottonwood trees. It sounded just like waves at the beach. You can occasionally hear loud cracks and thumps as huge tree branches smack together.
