The Odenwald is a small, low mountain range in southern Germany; my hometown of Heidelberg lies on its edge. It is not easy to find places here that are not shaped by man-made noise. The valley where the old Burg Rodenstein is located—and to which a “Path of Legends” leads—is, in this respect, a small wonder, a surprising oasis of silence. And so, this peaceful waterfall has been able to sing its song undisturbed for hundreds of years…
