Verde River Dusk

Artist:
Arizona, USA
Notes:
Nigh slowly falls over a lively Verde River in late spring. Rapids can be heard in the distance. Frogs jumping into the river make occasional splashing sounds. Various birds and crickets call as the sun sets over the river. The Verde (green) River is true to its name – not for the color of its water, but for the narrow band of lush vegetation that is able to grow along its banks. Like a tiny vein of life that snakes its way through the harsh Sonoran Desert.
