Giant in the making

Stalagmite Creation

Artist:
Phu Pha Phet Cave, Thailand
Notes:

Listen to the sound of water droplets falling from the cave ceiling on the top of a huge stalagmite below, a formation that has been developing over thousands of years. Each drop resonates through the vast chamber of Phu Pha Phet Cave, creating an acoustic experience that reflects the slow but persistent creation. The interplay of water hitting the stone creates the echoes of this remarkable geological wonder. This cave is located in Satun Province, Thailand and is recoginized as the largest cave in the country and as the fourth largest cave in the world.
