Spring Thunderstorm at Deep Creek

South Australia, Australia
Notes:

An early evening spring thunderstorm. The recording gear was left sheltered from the rain under the natural ‘umbrella’ of dense, rigid, blade-like leaves of a grass tree (Xanthorrhoea), known locally as yakka, whose tall spike was fully in flower. A nice place from which hear the storm.
The recording location – rolling hills of eucalyptus and grass tree forest very close to the southern ocean – is traditionally the home country of the indigenous Ramindjeri and Kaurna clans.
