Sitting peacefully and listening to the space with curiosity, awaiting for some of the birds to return to their singing after inevitably being startled by us upon our arrival.

This exercise, or practice, is a constant reminder of the responsibility to be peaceful with all living beings: to pay attention to how the space sounds – the home of these birds and all other animals that directly depend of it – and to consider it the immediate home of many species.

Some of the bird species present in this recording: Eurasian Robin, Common Firecrest, Eurasian Wren, Eurasian Three-toed Woodpecker.
