Savanna Wet Season

During the rainy season, the savanna transforms into a lush green landscape, teeming with life and creating a lively atmosphere filled with vibrant bird sounds. It is afternoon and the recording location is set 200 meters above the savanna on a forested hill overlooking the vast wild landscape of Tsavo West National Park. The hill is situated in close proximity to the National Park, allowing me to independently reach it by carefully mapping out my route, locating the path to the isolated settlement, and eventually hiking up the hill. Surprisingly, I have stumbled into a region where people mine precious gemstones.
