Mountain Thunderstorm

Mountain Thunderstorm

Artist:
Jelica Planina, Bosnia
Notes:

Summer thunderstorm in serene Bosnian mountains. On a hot, sunny day while hiking the remote plains of a mountain plateau, I witnessed a distant storm forming over neighbouring peaks. Seeking shelter, I found an ancient beech tree and set up my recording equipment beneath its protective canopy. Remarkably, the main storm never fully reached my location, as if Nature herself had created a safe space for me to capture her raw power from afar. As the recording progresses, the lighting gets louder and high volumes are reached, but at the same time it is a more soft sound with low and mid tones. With that therefore there are not parts with sudden hits or high volume so you do not need to worry about parts that might surprise you too much.
