Morning walk in Tawau Hill Park – Hornbill and Cicada

Artist:
Borneo, Malasya
Notes:

After the gibbons traveled away from where I was recording during their territorial call ritual, I heard a hornbill calling nearby on my walk back to the lodge. The siren-like cicada could be heard at dawn in the forest, amidst the continuous rhythms and frequencies of many other cicada species chirping. In the distance, the gibbons’ calls could still be heard.
