RecordingJungle sounds – morning in the Borneo rainforest
Artist:
Maliau Basin Conservation Area, MalaysiaRecommended charity: Maliau Basin Conservation
Notes:
Jungle mornings in Borneo are pretty lively, with plenty of birds singing and mammals calling. At Maliau Basin there are many troops of Gibbons whose calls resonate through the valleys. In this recording you can also hear the more subtle calls of Langurs which can be mistaken for creaking trees. Plenty of birdsong and bird calls offer a continuous backdrop with occasional siren-like chirps of cicadas breaking the harmony.
