Ushguli is located in Georgia at an altitude of 2,100 metres (6,900 ft) near the foot of Shkhara, one of the highest summits of the Greater Caucasus mountains.

This picturesque area is blanketed in snow for six months of the year, rendering the road impassable. Despite the less-than-ideal weather during my visit, I consider myself fortunate to have experienced this unique place. Being at such a high altitude, spotting wildlife was a challenge, but I captured a delightful soundscape featuring a stream flowing from the top of the mighty glacier. Take a moment to relax and imagine yourself surrounded by the serene beauty of white snow peaks in the highest inhabited village in Europe.
