In the semi-desert, a freshwater flow from hundreds of kilometres upstream has arrived in the last 24 hours. Spotted Marsh Frogs, Desert Tree frogs and others have sprung into activity. In the background many species of bird can be heard calling including White-winged Choughs, Sacred Kingfisher, White-plumed Honeyeaters, Masked Woodswallows, Grey Shrike-thrush and Brown Treecreepers, Willie Wagtail and Little Friarbird.
