The sun has set and waves roll in, but the seabirds at Tiritiri Matangi are still active. Red-billed Gulls squabble for the best seat on the rock in their colony, Little Blue Penguins call out to each other as they come home, and Common Diving Petrels woop gently as they snuggle into their roost. The petrels cozy up underneath flax plants and some even pass quite close to the microphone.
