Estuary Reeds

Little Swanport Tasmania, Australia
Recommended charity: Wildcare Tasmania
Notes:

Recording at dawn amongst the small trees at the edge of the Little Swanport Estuary in mid winter. You can hear black swans, magpies, finches and other birds. The Poredareme clan of the Oyster Bay Nation traditionally lived on this country before being displaced in the mid 19th century by European settlement. Since colonialisation, much of the original original landscape has been cleared with small pockets remaining and recently there have been attempts to re-vegetate.
