Early Summer Evening Twilight at Platypus Waterholes

Kangaroo Island, Australia
Notes:

A calm evening twilight early in summer, listening beside one of several ‘platypus waterholes’ formed by Rocky River, in Flinders Chase National Park, Kangaroo Island. In the distance, along the coast, a large storm is passing: occasionally, from afar, thunder can be heard. Here, however, as the light fades beside the river waterhole nestled snugly in the forest, it is peaceful and still. Birds are settling down for the evening, frogs and crickets are singing.
