The microphone is in the garden facing the hill between the barn and a hazelnut hedge
At 7am the light comes into the frozen garden and birds visit the feeder.
A mixture of tickling pecking and rustling wings. Lots of activity but at a leisurely pace. A peaceful early morning.
At the beginning of the recording you can hear a discrete pair of tawny owls nesting in the hedge, and Eurasian blue tits, house sparrows, great spotted woodpecker, common wood-pigeons, european robins, eurasian blackbird, common chaffinchs, buzzards, common firecrest.
