Recorded on the banks of the stunning Kafue River, this recording features sounds from sunset into the early evening.

The calls of diurnal birds in the riverine woodland fade naturally at sunset as a gentle breeze blows away the heat of the day. The soundscape shifts gradually to nocturnal, and the insect intensity increases. The Kafue River supports a healthy population of hippopotamus and their resonating deep bellows can be heard occasionally throughout the recording.
