Capturing the overlap between night and day, this recording from Manyeleti Game Reserve in South Africa features the sounds of insects, birds and wildlife at dawn. Spotted Hyenas whoop in the darkness and as the sky brightens the distant booms of Southern Ground Hornbills duetting can be heard. About half way through the recordings the diurnal birds begin to awaken and call heralding the new day.
