RecordingDawn in a Hushed Olympic Forest
Artist:
West Elwha Trail Washington, USANotes:
From the perfect distance, the rumble of the ocean is more perceptible. As the loud white noise of waves doesn’t carry as well the low frequency from the rhythmic phenomena becomes the primary focus. And when we can really sit and focus we can remember that it has a cycle that is affected by weather patterns, currents, and the moon. This is not so different from us. If you can let yourself be reminded of this once in a while you may yet see yourself in the magnitude of the ocean itself.
These sounds were recorded on the ancestral land of the Quileute Tribe.
Exceptionally low-noise microphones in various arrays capture the delicate sounds of the environment. If you would like to know more please get in touch.
