RecordingDawn at the Swan Pond
Artist:
Sinlahekin Valley, USANotes:
The long night is heralded by early calls from red-winged blackbirds.
Alongside a recently thawed lake, these small birds eagerly anticipate nesting, despite the possibility of snow tomorrow. As winter nears its end, it seems that spring is being summoned by these lively songsters. Swans add to the chatter with their greetings, and even a bald eagle makes an
appearance, perhaps signaling a warmer day ahead.
These sounds were recorded on the ancestral land of Okanagan, Suknaqinx, or Syilx. Various microphone arrays, with exceptionally low noise mics to capture the delicate sounds of the environment, were used on this recording trip. If you’d like to know more please get in touch.
