Waves crash into the rock pools at Tiritiri Matangi, churning seafoam and carving out a small alcove into the stone.

This island is known as a safe haven for endemic New Zealand birds and reptiles but fish, rays, and other marine life also enjoy the coast. As the tide comes and goes throughout the day, the soundscape around the island changes.
