Colombian Pacific Rainforest

Choco Jungle

Artist: Jan Brelih
Choco, Colombia
Notes:

Colombian Choco region is one of the rainiest places in the whole world. There might be only a few days when the sun finally shines and brings light under the thick canopies. That time the jungle comes alive and makes its unique natural symphony. The recording is captured on the hill above the vast Pacific Ocean at dawn. The area has no road connections to the outside world and is separated from the rest of the country by thick jungle and muddy steep hills. This was the most untamed and remote place I have ever visited, it is a rare jewel that remains still largely untouched by a human.
