Ceaseless Rain in Montane Rainforest

Artist:
Manu National Park, Peru
Notes:

A steep path, but fairly easy to walk, reveals slightly different songs, prolonged momnents of a perceived quietness, snakes, and a number of electric-blue insects.
Only sometimes we can see the river below, rushing its muddy waters, for the tree density is high and the perspective changes at every turn.

While the weather felt rather promising for hours, as it’s mostly common, the afternoon became rainy with occasional far away thunder not ceasing until after mid-night. The rain is made strong by where it lands: endless messy foliage, lush bright green with decaying matter, armies of ants and many other insects, like termites nests, right on the tree this recording happened.
