Deep inside the jungle cave, I found a hall with about 200 bats hanging down the ancient stalactites. There was total silence, with no water dripping, while the bats made a variety of unique noises, occasionally flapping when flying over the cave hall. It was actually the first time for me to witness and observe them in such detail at such a serene place. I sat quietly on the rock inside the hot, humid cave for all together two hours, getting immersed at the moment, surrounded by the city of bats.
