The water caresses various waterfalls and cascades in the first few kilometres of the Alfambra River, in the town of Gúdar, in a beautiful environment full of contrasts in the different sections of the so-called Alto Alfambra, from meadows at two thousand metres to endless forests or areas of surprising cultural richness. All this in one of the least densely populated areas in Europe, due to the devastating emigration from the interior of Spain to the big cities in the middle of the 20th century. This only increases the need to protect these invaluable landscapes.
