Borneo Night Lullaby
In the depths of Sarawak, Borneo Island’s mountainous interior, there is still standing a pristine, lush rainforest area that supports a wide variety of plants and wildlife. As the night descends, the whole soundscape becomes very different and mysterious, with its own energy and feelings. Numerous insects, frogs, and cicadas become active and start to form a very special and unique symphony, one that slowly takes you away into the other state of realm. It is a journey into an ancient, primeval wilderness of one of the world’s more than 130-million-year-old rainforests. The recording consists of multiple layers of different species doing their vocalization, yet it is very consistent without any big, loud, or intense surprises that might catch you unprepared. In that sense, I would say it is a perfect soundscape for falling asleep or deeply relaxing.
