The lake was never totally silent, but eventually the drone from roads and industry did die down sufficiently, leaving the sounds of dawn to be better appreciated. This is a bit late in the season for a true “dawn chorus”, but with all the activity and movement, it is a worthwhile listen. Birds in this clip, (besides the Canada Goose) include Red-necked Grebe, Pied Grebe, Sora Rail, Redhead, Wigeon, Mallard, Ring-necked Duck, Gadwall, American Robin, Red-winged Blackbird and the White-throated, Song and Chipping Sparrows.
