The area is primarily composed of high mountains, plateaus, wetlands, rivers, and meadows, making it an important habitat for wild animals such as the black-necked crane. Linzhou County boasts a favorable ecological environment, characterized by low oxygen levels, high altitude, and large areas of marshes and river meadows, making it particularly suitable for the black-necked crane to overwinter.
