‘Like Spotify, but for natural soundscapes’: the Earth.fm app on Product Hunt
In case you missed the email sent to mark the special occasion, the Earth.fm app was recently awarded Product of the Week and featured on Product Hunt – meaning that their daily digest included “a new mobile app that’s like Spotify but for listening to and protecting our natural world”.
Yes, that’s us.
Now available as a mobile app, Earth.fm is a non-profit platform offering more than 900 immersive, high-quality nature-sound recordings from around the world.
We’re thrilled that our fresh new app was featured as product of the week and is already reaching new audiences and providing them with support. Its versatility is reflected in the dozens of users’ comments posted on Product Hunt, in addition to the official review: some people use the app to increase their focus while working; some use it to relax after work.
Others describe it as a reminder of our planet’s incredible diversity, a perfect way to experience the natural-landscape sounds and birdsong which aren’t always accessible in the city, and an effective alternative to pink or white noise.
Enter Earth FM. It’s kind of like Spotify but for nature. It originally launched as a web app a few years ago where you could zoom around the globe discovering diverse sounds in different countries. Now the team are back with a dedicated mobile app.
