Earth.fm is always working to improve the platform for all our users. As such, to improve our artists’ experience, we’re super excited to introduce the Earth.fm artist account.
The artist account is different from the regular Earth.fm accounts via which users listen to nature soundscapes. After successful verification, your account will feature a verification mark denoting you as an Earth.fm artist, and will link to your artist profile page.
In addition, you will gain access to the Earth.fm dashboard, where you can update your artist profile page, including changing the profile image, background image, web and social media links, etc.
How to verify yourself as an artist
In order to create an artist account, you must have both a standard Earth.fm account and your own artist page on the site. Plus, the email address that you use to sign in to Earth.fm will need to match the email address at which you received the artist newsletter that brought you to this blog post.
📍 Once this is the case, please send us an email providing your name, a link to your Earth.fm artist profile page, and your email address.
Once our team has checked these details, we will create an artist account for you and send out a password-reset email with the title ‘[earth.fm] Password Reset’. Click the link in the email to reset your password.
How to update an artist profile
- Log in to your artist account on the Earth.fm dashboard
- Click ‘recordists’ on the menu, then click your artist profile post
- Update your profile data as you wish
- Once you’ve finished doing this, click the ‘update’ button.
After a successful update, your web address and other links will be added to your artist page, as in the image below. Please note that it may take a few minutes for changes to register on your Earth.fm artist profile page.
Artist accounts include simple features for now, but are an important first step toward building more tools and features to support our artists in the future. This is just the beginning, and we can’t wait to share what’s next!
