Samuel is an acoustic ecology researcher, field recordist and didactic media educator, and an alumnus of Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, Germany, under the Electroacoustic Composition and Sound Design and Instructional Design professorships. His projects focus on digital interactive sound documentation/archiving and analysis of complex acoustic spaces, Ecological and Acousmatic Listening, Ethnoacoustics, Electroacoustic music experimentations, Acoustic Education and Urban Soundscape Studies, Curricular Development in Acoustic Education and Digital Interactive Media in Teaching and Learning. He is founder of the Centre for Soundscape Ecology and Multimedia (CSEM), in Germany and Ghana; a member of Quiet Parks International; and resource person on immersive sound technologies and installation design at bioacoustics conferences worldwide.
